DESCRIPTION:CHO Christmas Bike Give Away Program: The Committee for Helping Others is looking for gently used bikes for its Christmas Program for families in need in our community. They are also seeking helpers to clean and perform minor repairs and tuneups on the donated bikes. Last year\, they collected and donated over 200 bicycles!\n\n\nBike Donation Dates: If you have a bike in good riding condition that you no longer need\, please donate it on November 12 or November 26\, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Vienna Presbyterian Church (Mill Street entrance).\n\nBike Preparation Dates: If you have bike repair skills or can assist with clean up\, CHO needs you! All ages and abilities welcome. This is a great opportunity for service hours for students. Here are the work sessions scheduled - Saturdays\, Nov 19 and Dec 3\, between 10 am and 2 pm\, bikes will be cleaned at the Antioch Christian Church on Beulah Rd\, Vienna. Several weekday cleaning sessions are being planned as needed. Bikes requiring more repair are expertly cared for at Bikes@Vienna.\n\nBike giveaway: Saturday\, Dec 10\, starting around 7:30 am\, bikes will be transported to Vienna Presbyterian Church for give away during the Christmas Bazaar. Volunteers are needed to unload bikes and to assist CHO folks with fitting of bikes and helmets.\n\nIf you have questions\, please contact Ed Porter\, edjporter8@gmail.com.\n\nThank you for your help with this valuable community program!
