SUMMARY:TWC: Caring for Yourself After Baby
DESCRIPTION:Bringing a new baby home is powerful\, beautiful\, and\, for many women\, overwhelming. Many mothers may experience exhaustion\, mood changes\, anxiety\, or feeling "not like themselves" after birth. This session is designed especially for new and expecting mothers who want to better understand what's happening in their bodies and minds after having a baby.\n\nTogether\, we'll explore:\n\n\n	Why emotions can feel stronger after birth\n	What "baby blues" are-and how they differ from postpartum depression and anxiety\n	How stress\, hormones\, and lack of sleep affect your nervous system\n	What it means to be outside your "window of tolerance"\n	Gentle\, realistic tools to calm your body and mind\n	When to reach out for extra support\n\n\nThis will be a compassionate\, judgment-free space where real experiences are normalized. You will walk away with simple strategies you can use in everyday moments-tools that take just a few minutes but can make a meaningful difference.\n\nMotherhood is a season of learning. You are adjusting. You are healing. You are growing. And you deserve support along the way.\n\nAbout the Presenter\n\nKarina Stone is a graduate social work intern with a special interest in perinatal mental health and training in nervous system regulation\, somatic practices\, and body-based approaches to healing. She believes the transition into motherhood is both powerful and tender\, and that understanding the nervous system can help new mothers feel less overwhelmed and more supported.\n\nKarina is passionate about helping women reconnect with their bodies during pregnancy and postpartum\, recognizing that the body holds wisdom-even in seasons of exhaustion\, stress\, and change. Her work centers on creating safety\, compassion\, and space for mothers to heal from the inside out.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS ON ZOOM. LINK IS IN CONFIRMATION EMAIL
