CANVA 202: Presented by the VBA Member Marketing Committee
Ready to go beyond the basics? Canva 202 is built for business owners who want to create polished, on-brand marketing materials. Our team of presenters will walk you through the tools that keep your designs consistent and professional, so your business is recognizable wherever it shows up.
What we will cover in this session:
Free vs. paid accounts: what you actually get with Canva Pro and whether it’s worth it for your business
Setting up your brand kit: adding your logo, colors, and fonts, and why consistency builds trust with customers
Essential tools: background remover, Magic Resize, and simple ways to edit your own photos and video
Customizing templates: making templates look like your brand, and exploring formats beyond social media (flyers, signage, presentations, and more)

A look at Canva’s AI tools: what they can do, and key caveats to know before you use them (like platforms labeling AI-generated content)
How the session works:
To make the most of our time together, we ask that you submit your questions and topics of interest when you register. We’ll use them to tailor the presentations to what matters most to you.
**Please note this is a learning session, not a design service, so we won’t be able to create custom designs for individual businesses during the workshop.
What to bring
A laptop or tablet with a Canva account (a free account is fine)
Your logo file and brand colors, if you have them
A few photos of your products, services, or business
The presentation is led by Melissa Maillett, owner of Melissa Maillett Photography, and Kelly Jensen, owner of Luminy Social + Media
This event is open to VBA Members only.
