Generation Code: Free Web Development Coding Workshop For 11-17 Year Olds (Accompanying Parents/Guardians Welcome!)

Join us for a Web Development workshop open to kids and teens 11-17 PLUS accompanying parents/guardians! This workshop will preview Generation Code’s Web Development course, which begins the week of  October 4, 2017. 

Workshop FAQs 

1. What ages is this workshop open to? 

This workshop is open to children aged 11-17. Parents are encouraged to accompany their child(ren) to this trial workshop. However, should a child choose to enroll in a Generation Code course, those programs are limited to the participant only.

2. Does my child need to bring materials to this workshop ?

No! Generation Code provides all equipment and materials for our workshops and courses.  

3. What is the cost of the class? 

Free. This is an opportunity for you and your child to learn about Generation Code’s courses - commitment free. If you enjoy our workshop, we have a number of great opportunities for your child to continue his or her coding education.

4. Do the students need to know how to touch-type? 

No, excellent typing skills are not required.

5. What do students need to know before taking the class? 

The course is for beginners. Imagination and love for computers are the only requirements for the class.

6. How do I register? 

RSVP here!  Make sure you register for any additional children after the first (your rsvp counts for one child, then 1, +2, etc for the number of additional children).

7. Is there parking available?

Yes, street parking on Church St as well as a parking lot available behind our building -Ayr Hill Court- next to Rita’s. If you are using the parking lot, please leave the ‘Resident Parking’ spaces open.
