Inner Qi Gong: Making Peace out of Disorder with Body, Mind, and Breath
Tuesday, March 18 at 6 – 7pm
The Chinese have a saying: “qi follows thought”. This means that qi - the life force, the energy of each individual - is strongly affected by how you think. An important part of Chinese therapy is qi gong, an ancient form of mind-body exercise meant to connect your thoughts with your body through gentle movements, healing postures, and mindful breathing.
Join Kirsten Jacob, licensed acupuncturist and graduate of the Asian Institute of Medical Studies in Tucson, AZ, for an introductory workshop to qi gong. Special health topics such as disordered eating treatment and attention and learning disorders will be addressed. Kirsten will also offer optional ear acupuncture treatments during the session.
The event is free and all are welcome; please RSVP in advance.
