Expo demonstrates that going green may be easier than you think
Learn more at the Vienna Green Expo about abundant opportunities to practice personal sustainability – it’s a lot simpler than you probably think to make a difference that can preserve the environment, protect pollinators, reduce waste, or conserve energy. Vienna’s Conservation and Sustainability Commission (CSC) is hosting the Green Expo from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Vienna Community Center.
“We all know that climate change is a pressing issue,” says CSC Chairperson Susan Stillman. “At the Green Expo, residents can learn more about energy issues – and how to reduce their waste and energy usage related to their cars and home.”
The Green Expo will feature approximately 30 exhibitors presenting on topics ranging from recycling and composting to solar power, from alternative fuel vehicles to net zero home design, and much more. Admission is free, and sustainable prizes will be given to students who collect stamps from each booth in the Green Expo “passport.”
