Solarize NOVA Informational Meeting
Town offers informational meeting on putting the sun to work for you
The Town of Vienna Community Enhancement Commission (CEC) will host a Solarize NOVA informational meeting about harnessing solar energy as a means of powering homes and businesses at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Town Hall, 127 Center Street S. Selected, pre-vetted solar energy vendors participating in the 2018 Solarize NOVA campaign will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
“There are so many great reasons to go solar,” says CEC Chair Susan Stillman, who installed solar panels in her home three years ago and regularly enjoys months where she purchases no power from the utility. “Perhaps one of the most compelling reasons to consider solar now is that time is running short on the federal government’s 30% tax credit for solar investments. The credit is expected to expire in 2019.”

The Solarize NOVA program, which runs through May 30, is a partnership among the Northern Virginia Regional Commission, Local Energy Alliance Program, and the Town of Vienna as well as several other localities.
